About the team
The Strategy and Markets team sits at the centre of Ofqual's work, helping to shape the organisation's long-term direction and ensuring it can respond effectively to an ever-changing education and regulatory landscape.
We provide the insight, analysis and strategic recommendations that help Ofqual make informed decisions about its priorities, performance and future role within the qualifications system.
Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, we bring together evidence, data, stakeholder perspectives and market intelligence to identify emerging opportunities, risks and challenges.
The team combines expertise in strategy development, market and audience insight, risk analysis, performance management, and programme and portfolio delivery. We play a vital role in translating complex information into clear strategic choices, helping Ofqual remain focused on delivering public value and maintaining confidence in qualifications and assessments
Person Specification
As Senior Strategy Manager, you will help shape Ofqual's strategic direction by providing high-quality analysis, insight and advice to senior leaders. Working across a range of complex and often ambiguous issues, you will bring together evidence from multiple sources to identify emerging risks, opportunities and trends, translating these into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making and help Ofqual achieve its long-term objectives.
You will work closely with colleagues across Ofqual to challenge thinking, solve strategic problems and assess the impact of Ofqual's work.
Looking ahead to future developments in education, regulation and public policy, you will help Ofqual anticipate change, adapt its approach and make informed choices about its long-term role and priorities.
Acting as a trusted adviser, you will influence discussions at senior levels, support the development and evaluation of strategy, and help ensure Ofqual continues to deliver meaningful outcomes and public value in a changing landscape
