Membership
The Institute of Regulation (IoR) exists to provide and promote education and training in the theory and practice of regulation. We offer research and the development and promotion of good practice in regulation.
Membership is open to regulatory professions and experts.
We offers three types of membership:
Affiliate membership – available to charities, commercial organisations, third sector organisations.
Corporate membership – exclusively available to regulators based in the UK, Channel Islands, and Ireland.
Individual membership – ideal for experts and influencers active in regulation today.

Affiliate Members
Affiliate members can be from a variety of sectors, from charities, commercial organisations, the third sector or universities. Membership subscription fees are based on a scale, according to size of organisation.
Affiliate members benefit from:
Networking with senior practitioners and academics in regulation, within the UK and internationally.
Complimentary access to five member events, this includes quarterly forums and the annual conference.
Introduction to Regulation training .
Free job placements on the Institutes’ Jobs Board.
Access to the member only section of this website, The Regulation Hub, which includes access to specialist resources and reference materials on regulation.
Monthly newsletter covering regulatory news.
Access to the IoR’s Podcast. Each new episode is sent to all Institute members via the monthly newsletter.
Free opportunities to place articles and news releases in the Institutes’ monthly member newsletter.
Upon request, Affiliate members have access to the Institute of Regulation’s eight Special Interest Groups.
Discounted rates on professional development and training and priority access to partnership, sponsorship and showcase opportunities .

Individual Members
Individual members pay £80 a year, with 50% discounts for students and the retired. Further concessionary discounts will apply for those who are unemployed, taking a career break or on long term sick leave.
