Ofqual is the independent qualifications regulator for England. We currently regulate 200+ awarding organisations, and approx. 11,600 certified qualifications. These include GCSEs, AS and A levels, and a broad range of vocational and technical qualifications. Regulating on behalf of students of all ages and apprentices is central to how we fulfil our statutory objectives.

About the team
We’re looking for an exceptional individual to help us use strategic engagement to make a positive difference to and other qualification users.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months due to an internal secondment.
What will the post holder be doing?
As a key member of the Awarding Organisation Engagement team in Ofqual’s Vocational and Technical Qualifications Directorate, you’ll help ensure awarding organisations (AOs), including exam boards, understand what they need to do to comply with our regulations. You’ll capture accurate insight to feed back into Ofqual and beyond.
With a highly organised approach and excellent attention to detail, your work will have a key focus on strategically planning, organising, and running virtual events. You’ll also get involved in in-person events; capture and analyse data; and prepare briefings, reports and presentations that are clear, accessible and appropriate for the intended audience. You’ll write informative articles, capture accurate notes from important meetings and ensure we’re making the most of our digital engagement channels.
Working with colleagues across the team and wider organisation you will help ensure that AOs’ feedback informs Ofqual's policies and practice.

Duties and responsibilities to include, but is not limited to:
Lead on specified projects on behalf of the AO Engagement team including developing, delivering and evaluating the impact of engagement plans and strategies in support of the team’s objectives.
Consider and deliver engagement activities appropriate to the AO audience, in line with specific initiatives and Ofqual priorities. This includes planning and delivering virtual and face to face events and making best use of The Portal as an engagement tool. (The Portal is our digital platform that is the primary electronic tool we use for communicating with AOs and organisations that aspire to become AOs.)
Represent the AO engagement team when working with others across Ofqual to support delivery of specified projects. Ensure the needs of the AO audience are considered in any engagement and messaging.
Prepare, and peer review, articles, presentations and briefings that are appropriate to the intended audience and meet Ofqual’s brand guidelines.
