Ofqual is the inndent qualifications regulator for England. We currently regulate 200+ awarding organisations, and approx. 11,600 certified qualifications. These include GCSEs, AS and A levels, and a broad range of vocational and technical qualifications. Regulating on behalf of students of all ages and apprentices is central to how we fulfil our statutory objectives.

About the team
We’re looking for an exceptional individual to join Ofqual’s stakeholder engagement team in the Vocational & Technical Qualifications Directorate. The team plays a significant role in enabling the successful delivery of key projects across Ofqual. We work with a range of stakeholders, including teachers, exams officers and students in schools and colleges; alongsiderepresentative bodies in the education sector and other government organisations, to understand how qualifications are delivered on the ground. This helps to inform Ofqual’s regulatory approach and ensure our regulatory approach is understood.
What will the post holder be doing?
The manager for Stakeholder Engagement will coordinate and manage stakeholder relationships in Ofqual’s Vocational and Technical Qualifications (VTQ) directorate, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders. The successful candidate will build trust and influence others, identify opportunities for engagement and make recommendations to inform decision making, to ensure stakeholders have confidence in Ofqual.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically and see the bigger picture, understanding the strategic drivers for our work. The ever-changing political and education landscape mean that this role can be highly reactive, so we are looking for someone who uses their initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, with the following attributes:

Duties and responsibilities to include, but is not limited to:
· Build strong and positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
· Collaborate with colleagues from across the directorate to develop and deliver stakeholder engagement plans and strategies which support the successful delivery of projects
· Create high quality briefings, speeches, reports, presentations and other communications that clearly articulate Ofqual’s regulatory position and policy in a way that is appropriate for the intended audience
· Contribute effectively to multi-disciplinary and cross-team working, including the sharing of intelligence and information across Ofqual to support effective decision making
