The Law Society of Scotland is seeking a strategic leader to fill the position of Executive Director of Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Society’s core operational functions of Finance, HR, IT and Facilities whilst driving forward the delivery and implementation of a comprehensive digital change programme to support the delivery of our services.
The Law Society of Scotland is the professional body and regulator for over 13,000 Scottish solicitors. As a world class professional body, we regulate Scottish solicitors in the public interest and works to deliver legal excellence, serving the needs of our members and the public. The Executive Director of Operations is a key member of the Society’s Senior Leadership Team providing leadership to the Society’s core functions in our Operations Directorate.
Working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team the Executive Director of Operations will lead a program of digital transformation to support delivery of our strategic ambitions and fulfil our vison to be a world-leading professional body. This role will also ensure the execution of our IT Strategy, People Strategy and the development of disciplined financial plans that drive our priorities, delivering efficiency and value for money for our members.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience with a track record in leading digital change programmes and business improvement initiatives. Strategic experience in leading relevant multi-disciplinary functions is essential.
