The Law Society of Scotland is seeking a strategic leader to fill the position of Executive Director of Member Experience. This is a prestigious opportunity to lead the Member Services and Engagement Directorate playing a pivotal role in supporting and delivering services to meet the needs of our members.

The Law Society of Scotland is the professional body and regulator for over 13,000 Scottish solicitors. As a world class professional body, we regulate Scottish solicitors in the public interest and works to deliver legal excellence, serving the needs of our members and the public. The Executive Director of Member Experience will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in delivering the Society’s aims and objectives in relation to our Members experience.

Working closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and wider stakeholders the Executive Director of Member Experience will develop a clear, evidence based, member value proposition to deliver the needs of our evolving membership. The role holder will oversee the work of the Member Services and Engagement Directorate and drive forward a strategy to support members in a rapidly evolving profession.

The ideal candidate will develop a member value proposition to deliver the needs of our evolving membership and will ensure a clear strategy is developed to deliver on this. The post holder will execute growth, and retention plans to deliver increased membership numbers and commercial outcomes. Experience of working in a strategic leadership role in a membership or customer centric service environment is essential. Exceptional stakeholder management with the ability to influence and motivate is crucial.
