Ofqual is the independent qualifications regulator for England. We currently regulate 200+ awarding organisations, and approx. 11,600 certified qualifications. These include GCSEs, AS and A levels, and a broad range of vocational and technical qualifications. Regulating on behalf of students of all ages and apprentices is central to how we fulfil our statutory objectives.

About the team
Now is a hugely exciting time to join Ofqual’s Digital and Data team. We’re transforming the way that we deliver our services by placing the right emphasis on Product Delivery using User Centred Design principles.
We put our user needs first, and by working alongside talented product owners, user researchers and interaction designers who use techniques to create and synthesise insights from multiple sources, you will ensure that multidisciplinary teams consistently deliver value for users and stakeholders.
You will do this by drawing on your own agile delivery management skills, coaching and ensuring that cadence of delivery is maintained.
What will the post holder be doing?
As a member of a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will be responsible building and maintaining teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well as a cohesive unit to deliver value.
You will work with the product managers to focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services whilst identifying obstacles and help the team to overcome them.
You will coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques to their work, being open to change and refinement.
You will understand and apply the principles of Ofqual's corporate plan in your work, ensuring that there is a clear and consistent connection between your work and Ofqual's corporate goals.
Duties and responsibilities to include, but is not limited to:
· Facilitate regular agile meetings such as daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint review, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives.
· Mentor and coach the team to ensure all are focused on a common goal and working with an agile mind-set.
· Proactively keep sprints/iterations on track, by actively unblocking challenges that are stopping the team delivering.
· Lead on focussing the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services; ensuring the roadmap and plans are updated frequently and communicated as required.
