The UK Council for Psychotherapy is the leading organisation for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK. We are looking for a regulatory expert to work on a short term project to review our approach to regulating psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors who work with children and young people.

This flexible, short term role involves conducting a thorough review of UKCP’s current standards, practices, and policies relating to working with children and young people. The successful candidate will gather evidence, consult with key stakeholders, and provide a detailed report with recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in regulatory review and policy analysis (ideally within a psychotherapy, health, or education context).

  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, present complex issues and meet deadline.
