About the team

The Strategy and Markets team analyses and assesses Ofqual’s external environment and internal performance; supports leadership to set objectives and communicate clear strategic priorities as a result. It organises, supports, and tracks delivery of those priorities. The team includes capabilities in market, risk and audience analysis; planning and performance management; as well as projects, programme, and portfolio management.  A key part of this is the audience Insight program.

Person Specification

The postholder will lead the development and delivery of high-quality audience insight to inform Ofqual’s strategy, regulatory, policy and communication decisions. The Insights program supports Ofqual in understanding confidence in qualifications, the perceptions of key audiences, including students, parents, teachers and the general public. They will be translating evidence from commissioned research into insights and possible strategic actions, ensuring that insight is embedded into strategic planning, and decision making.
