Salary: Up to £80,000 per year pro rata, plus pension contributions
Work pattern: 0.5 FTE (with potential openness to negotiation on more flexible options ranging between 0.4 – 0.6 FTE)
Contract: Home working with occasional UK travel

This is an exciting moment for the Institute of Regulation. With five years under our belt, a thriving membership community and a growing presence in the world of regulation – now is the time to invest in the future.
The desire for regulators and all those who care about good regulation to join together is clear. There is appetite for more. More learning and development, more networking. More debate, discussion and looking to the future.
It’s in that context that the Institute is recruiting its first ever Chief Executive Officer. This new role reflects the desire of the Institute’s Board to make an investment in the future – to strengthen, broaden and develop what the Institute does and the impact it achieves.
Our core operational strength continues to develop week by week – led by our highly experienced and capable Chief Operating Officer. Our resilience is growing with a small but well-formed team. Having established those foundations, now is the opportunity to secure an excellent CEO to provide strategic leadership and look to the future.
Our first CEO will need to bring a deep and meaningful commitment to and experience of regulation. That may come in different forms – but it’s essential that they have credibility with our membership community of regulators from across all facets of society.
This is an exciting role to come and really shape the next phase of the Institute’s development.
