About the Professional Standards Authority
We are looking three Accreditation Officers to join our Accreditation team within the Regulation and Accreditation Directorate.
The Professional Standards Authority (PSA) oversees the work of the ten health and social care regulators to ensure their work protects patients. We conduct annual performance reviews of the regulators and can appeal decisions of their fitness to practise panels if we think those decisions are not sufficient to protect the public. We also accredit organisations that register practitioners in unregulated occupations. We are an independent body, accountable to the UK Parliament. We are a small organisation that is respected for its expertise and have a role in contributing to debates on professional regulation.
About you
As an Accreditation Officer you will be helping to drive up standards of voluntary regulation, by checking that organisations meet our standards. You will be working with a range of different organisations at senior levels and have significant autonomy and within a supportive and committed team. We are looking to recruit an individual who:
Has strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
Is experienced in writing reports in clear, accessible language
Has experience of working in a customer facing role.
We are committed to promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where all our staff can flourish and reach their full potential. We know that a diverse workforce, at all levels, allows for a more creative and productive environment bringing different viewpoints, knowledge and experience. Therefore, we are keen to improve the diversity within our organisation and would like to encourage individuals who come from a diverse range of backgrounds.
As a Disability Confident employer, we will guarantee an interview for people with disabilities who meet all the essential criteria and so if you would like to be considered under this scheme then please let us know.
